Philip given boost by visit from grandchildren on Xmas Day

PRINCE William, his brother Harry, and other royal grandchildren visited Queen Elizabeth II's husband, Prince Philip, in a UK hospital overnight as he continued to recuperate from heart surgery. William and his younger brother drove separate cars to Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, central England, to spent time with their grandfather. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall also visited. They dropped in to see the 90-year-old Duke of Edinburgh following Christmas lunch at the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk, roughly 80kms northeast of Cambridge. The Duke has now spent two nights in the hospital after having a coronary stent procedure after complaining of chest pains on Friday. Buckingham Palace said the Duke had a "good night" following the surgery and was "eager to leave." He is expected to remain under observation for a short period but no further details have been given about when he will be discharged.
